Dolby Laboratories, a global leader in audio and imaging innovation, manages an extensiveinternal knowledge base spanning hundreds of documents, training materials, policy files,PDFs, and Excel data sets — all distributed across SharePoint libraries and disconnectedstorage systems. Employees needing specific information were spending significant timemanually searching through SharePoint folders and document libraries, unable to surfacerelevant content quickly or interact with knowledge repositories in a natural, conversationalway. Without an intelligent, AI-powered interface, the information retrieval process was slow,inconsistent, and dependent on employees knowing exactly where to look — limitingproductivity, decision-making speed, and the organization’s ability to scale its internal supportoperations efficiently.

We designed and delivered the People Care Soft Tool — a purpose-built Generative AI CopilotBot built on Microsoft Copilot Studio and registered on Azure, seamlessly integrated withDolby’s SharePoint libraries and Excel knowledge base. The bot uses advanced naturallanguage processing and Generative AI to understand employee queries in plainconversational language, intelligently search across SharePoint-stored documents (PDFs,DOCs, PPTs) and Excel data files, and deliver accurate, context-aware, document-centricresponses in real time. The Azure-registered architecture ensures enterprise-grade security,data governance, and scalability — allowing the bot to handle growing query volumes,accommodate new data sources, and expand to new user groups without any performanceimpact. The result is a secure, intelligent, AI-powered knowledge assistant that gives everyDolby employee instant access to the information they need.
