The custom Leave Request Management Application was designed for a client seeking to automate and manage their employees’ leave and vacation request. This application was also made accessible via mobile phones and desktop for both Front-line workers and Corporate Staff members.

Microsoft’s Power Apps , Power Automate

Basic info

We mentioned earlier that Microsoft’s Power Apps templates are designed to demonstrate functionality. While this is true, they also deserve a closer look as a potential solution for your organization. Today, we’re highlighting the Leave Request app. It’s available to anyone with a Power Apps license, and it can be installed free of charge for use by your organization.

The application is created for employees and manager of the company to keep track on leaves taken by employees.

Data Connectors Used:

– Office365Users: To get list of active employees of the company.

– SharePoint List: To keep list of employees who applied for leave, active balance of leave and record of company’s holiday as well.

– Outlook: To send attachment to managers for leave approval.

EMPLOYEES can request for leave, view the balance of leaves, company holidays. MANAGERS are allowed to either approve, decline the requested leaves, and can also update the company holidays in list.

Notifications

When a request is submitted, the manager receives an email with the pertinent details

When the status of a request changes (approved or declined), the user who submitted this request receives an email with the information

View past and future leave requests

These are sorted by pending, approved and declined requests

View company holidays

A set of standard observed holidays is include
