Quality Inspection App for Manufacturing

A Canada-based custom rubber parts manufacturer — supplying precision-engineered components across automotive, industrial, and aerospace sectors — was running its entire quality control and inspection process through manual paper-based forms, spreadsheets, and disconnected records. With products required to meet strict dimensional tolerances across multiple simultaneous production runs of up to 8 parts, the existing manual inspection process was creating significant risk: tolerance calculation errors, inconsistent Die Trial and Production Inspection outcomes, no centralized inspection data, and a quality control team unable to retrieve or analyse historical inspection records in any structured way.
We designed and delivered a fully custom Microsoft Power Apps Canvas quality inspection application — purpose-built for manufacturing quality control — integrating dynamic inspection template creation, automated real-time tolerance checking, dual-mode Die Trial and Production Inspection workflows, and a powerful search and reporting tool. Integrated with SharePoint Online for structured data storage, Power Automate for workflow automation, and Office 365 Outlook for notifications, the app replaced paper-based inspection entirely and gave the quality control team a scalable, digital-first, audit-ready inspection management system built on the Microsoft Power Platform.
