A large organization managing a growing inventory of physical assets across multiple locations was struggling with a fragmented, manual asset management process. Assets were tracked through spreadsheets and paper logs with no centralized visibility — relocations went unrecorded, misplaced assets created operational delays, inspection workflows were inconsistent, and disposal processes lacked governance or audit trails. Without a digital fixed asset management system, the operations team had no reliable way to track asset status, enforce accountability, or generate compliance-ready reports. The absence of QR code-based identification meant asset verification was slow, error-prone, and dependent on manual cross-referencing.

We designed and delivered a fully custom Microsoft Power Apps enterprise asset management application — built around the complete asset lifecycle from acquisition through relocation, inspection, and disposal. The solution features QR code generation and scanning for accurate asset identification, a modular lifecycle management structure, dual-mode inspection workflows (visual and itemized), bulk management tools for high-volume operations, task delegation for team-based workflows, and comprehensive Dataverse-powered audit trails for every asset action. Automated via Power Automate and built on Microsoft Dataverse for scalable, structured data storage, the app gives operations, facilities, and compliance teams a single, audit-ready, enterprise-grade digital asset management platform.
